    Join us as we participate in the First Saturday Devotion with Archbishop Sample and parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Portland.  This devotion originated from the Church-approved Marian apparitions at Fatima.  On the first Saturday of each month, the faithful are asked to:

    • Go to Confession
    • Receive Holy Communion
    • Pray the Rosary
    • Meditate for 15 minutes on a mystery of the Rosary

    All of these actions should be offered for the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  The next five Saturdays are: Aug. 2, Sep. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.  It can be started in any month and continue for five consecutive months.

    Joining the archdiocesan-wide observance of the First Saturday Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Stephen Parish in SE Portland will hold devotions on July 5, August 2, September 6, October 4 and November 1.
    The schedule at St. Stephen's for First Saturday starts with Mass at 9:00 am and Eucharistic Adoration ending with Benediction at 11:00 am.  Confessions are heard 4:00-4:30 pm every Saturday.

    Cantores in Ecclesia presents the 17th annual William Byrd Festival, featuring choral masterpieces by the great Renaissance composer William Byrd (1540-1623) and his teacher Thomas Tallis (1505-1585).
