Saint Max is most famously known for volunteering to die in place of a stranger in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Approved by the Vatican, the MI today has over 4 million members worldwide who all share one aim: to capture hearts for the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Through Consecration to Mary, young people are transformed into instruments of 'youth evangelizing youth.'

St. Ignatius designed the Spiritual Exercises for persons who could spend 30 days in quiet, solitary prayer, but realized that for many this was impossible. He in his day and we in ours offer an option for people to make the Exercises in the midst of their daily lives.

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) begins in September and ends in May; involvement requires a spiritual commitment and definite time dedication. It should not be taken without thoughtful reflection and prayer. Retreatants will be expected to:

    1) pray for one hour daily (much help will be given to reach this goal)
    2) meet every two weeks for a half hour to an hour with a personal spiritual director.
    3) spend 2 1/2 hours one Saturday morning a month with a large group of retreatants for spiritual input, faith sharing, communal prayer and worship.

Curious? Have questions? Wondering if you’re ready to make a nine month commitment? Want a taste of the SEEL retreat?
